Tomorrow begins a trip long over due and one that I have been waiting for all year! I'm going back to the Philippines! My origin of birth. My motherland. My heritage. I'll definitely write a blog about my travels (short as it will... only 2 weeks! boo!) upon my arrival back to the States, but will TRY to keep a current blog as I go, provided that the internet cooperates.
So the last time I visited the Philippines was in June/July of 2006. Six years ago! Wow, was it really THAT long? I was under the impression that it was only about 4 years. Apparently I was 20 and traveled with my parents and younger brother. This time around, I will be travel with my parents and my hubby! Little bro will not be joining us :( But I am soooo excited to be introducing my husband to where I was born and the first 3 years of my life growing up. We will also have a family reunion amongst my extended family since my cousin will be getting married while we are there.
Plus an added bonus to the trip = 4 day layover in Hong Kong on our way back!!!!!! I am beyond excited to do some serious shopping and eating :)
Only 7 more hours until we leave for the airport! I guess I could TRY to get some sleep...
